Math 112

Nick Nicholson's Section

Spring 2000

This course begins with an algebraic and graphical study of polynomial, rational, exponential and logorithmic functions. Next we move to solving systems of equations, with a brief investigation of matrix algebra, concluding with its use to solve systems of linear equations. Finally, after a brief encounter with the binomial thereom, we finish up with a study of quadratic equations in two variables, whose graphs can be obtained by slicing a cone, (for which reason they are known as the "conic sections". I think you will enjoy it.
