COURSE TITLE AND CREDIT:
Math 110 Finite Mathematics
3 Hrs Lecture Credit: 3 semester Hours
COURSE PREREQUISITES: High school algebra I & II,
geometry, or an appropriate score on the placement test, or a grade
of C or better in Math 100.
I. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course offers experience in mathematics that is frequently used in the Managerial, Life, and Social Sciences; algebra, matrix algebra, linear programming, sets, counting problems, permutations, combinations, probability and statistics.
II. COURSE OBJECTIVES: As a result of successfully
completing this course the student will be able to:
1. Solve systems of equations using algebra.
2. Solve systems of equations using matrix algebra.
3. Solve maximum and minimum problems involving linear constraints
graphically.
4. Solve simple finance math problems.
5. Find permutations and combinations.
6. Solve simple probability problems.
7. Use simple probability distributions in statistical analysis.

2. Chapter 2: Systems of linear equations and matricies.
3. Chapter 3: Linear programming : A Geometric approach.
