Part I.  Acceleration of Fan cart

 

Deliverable: 

1.  Determine the acceleration produced by the fan.

 

 

 

Part II.  Acceleration of a toy car

 

Deliverable: 

1.  Determine the acceleration produced by the spring inside one of the toy cars.

 

 

Part III.  Acceleration of the Pasco cart on an incline.

Deliverable:

1.  Determine the acceleration of the Pasco cart on an incline:

a.  After shove and until it stops at the top.

 

b.  As it descends back towards the motion detector.

 

c.  Can you determine the acceleration at the point where it stops at the top of it's trajectory?

 

 

Part IV.  Acceleration vs mass of a Pasco cart on an incline.

 

Deliverable:  Determine the relationship between acceleration down the plane and mass.

Simply release cart from top of incline and measure its acceleration as it rolls to the bottom.

Next, place one bar, then 2 bars, then 3 bars, then 4 bars on the cart and repeat. Make a chart of acceleration vs mass, and plot the graph using Graphical Analysis.
