Projectile Lab

The vertical and horizontal positions y and x of a projectile launched with a horizontal velocity vo and no initial vertical velocity are given by:

y(t) = - 1/2 g t2
x(t) = vot

Here xo and yo are chosen to be zero.



The y vs. x plot is called the trajectory of the projectile. It shows the actual positions of the projectile as it moves through space. The curve is a parabola described by
